The Lume Melbourne is immersing you in art

The Lume is Australia’s first permanent immersive digital art gallery and opened in September 2021 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. It is the first permanent installation produced by Melbourne’s very own Grande Exhibitions, known for their large scale exhibitions touring the globe.

Additionally, guests can visit The Lume worry-free as this event is a COVID-safe experience set in a huge, contactless and air-controlled open space allowing guests to easily maintain social distancing as they enjoy this multi-sensory, digital art encounter.

Lume Melbourne occupies 3000 square metres, with 150 projectors casting changing and moving images, plus music and scents matched to the artwork with finesse.

If your kids are like mine, they want to experience art with more than just their eyes! And they find anything with an immersive digital element magical. Parents with preschool children can make the most of the 20% discounted tickets Monday to Friday with entry before 4pm. It is a pram friendly venue, ideal for a Parent’s Group because children are encouraged to explore, touch, crawl and discover.
